"백문이 불여일견, 백 번 듣는 것이 한 번 보는 것만 못하다."라는 말이 있죠. 영어로는 Seeing is believing. 그런데 때때로 지금 당장 눈앞에 뭔가가 보이지 않아도 확신이나 믿음을 가져야 할 때가 있습니다. 꿈이나 비전을 품고 있을 때 말이죠. 미국의 작가 데니스 웨이틀리(Denis Waitley)는 이런 말을 했습니다. "If you believe you can, you probably can. If you believe you won't, you most assuredly won't. Belief is the ignition switch that gets you off the launching pad." 영어도 마찬가집니다. 지금 당장 막막하고 앞이 보이지 않는다고 포기하지 마시고 'Seeing is believing'이 아니라 'Believing is seeing'이라는 거 꼭 기억하시기 바랍니다.
